  5. 4 The invocation was given by Mayor Long. Mayor Long led in the pledges of allegiance to the flags.

The views or beliefs expressed by the invocation speaker have not been previously reviewed or approved by the Council and do not necessarily represent the religious beliefs or views of the Council in part or as a whole. No member of the community is required to attend or participate in the invocation and such decision will have no impact on their right to actively participate in the business of the Council.

Scott Higginbotham – Courtney stole the words out of my mouth. Good luck tomorrow to all the kids out there. Congrats to all of the parents who get the kids back in school. Chad Tressler – No Comments Mayor Long – I’d like to expand on what they said and welcome back the kids to DISD as well, even though the representative from DISD forgot to do that. I’ll welcome them back.
