9. 9 a. Continue to pursue a date when the LPD will conduct a project to fingerprint school age children with disabilities to facilitate identification. Ensure both school districts have been included in this process.
10. 10 b. Report on Public Health Autism Surveillance Program updates by Grecia Ramos-Perez, Epidemiology Supervisor.
11. 11 c. Report on Public Health Support for Children and Young Adults with Special Needs Program updates by Carmen Andrade, Health Educator Supervisor.
12. 12 VIII. Action Item
13. 13 a. Discussion and possible action to determine methodology, work partnerships and organizations or individuals to survey.
14. 14 b. Discuss if the committee decides to identify a neurologist within town or from elsewhere to provide training for the Laredo medical community regarding child autism spectrum disorder diagnostic indicators.
15. 15 c. Discuss forming a subcommittee to compare the University of Delaware Center for Research in Education and Social Policy Community Needs Assessment for PWDs and the Laredo Public Health Department's Needs Assessment planned for late August to determine if the city's assessment covers the areas of needs identified within the Delaware assessment. Revisions, if necessary, would be suggested to the city's version.
