- 5 WHEREAS, Bill Betts was born on February 29, 1924 in Porto Uniäo, Brazil to Methodist missionaries. He lived in Brazil until he was twenty-one and attended a small school that his father built. Although the native language was Portuguese, he learned English when his mother spoke it in their house; and,
- 6 WHEREAS, Barbara Hendrick is one of the organizers of St. Philip Parish’s Annual Calendar Party Luncheon held at Bishop Canevin High School. This fundraiser began 22 years ago at the former parish of Holy Innocents and has raised tens of thousands of dollars since for the church; and,

- 10 COUNCILPERSON ROBERT CHARLAND PRESENTS:
- 11 Resolution amending Resolution 408 of 2022, providing that the City of Pittsburgh enter into a Professional Services Agreement(s) and/or Contract(s) with UPMC Mercy in connection with the administration and evaluation of medical examinations and related tests and procedures for the Civil Service Commission’s medical examination program for current and prospective employees for employment and promotion and providing for the payment of the cost thereof not to exceed One Million Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,200,000.00), is hereby amended as follows to account for additional costs, not to exceed One Million Eight Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars ($1,860,000.00).

- 13 Resolution authorizing the Mayor and the Director of the Department of Public Safety to enter into an Agreement or Agreements with the State Office of the Fire Commissioner for the purpose of receiving and spending grant funds in the amount of FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS AND ZERO CENTS ($15,000.00) to support the purchase of emergency rescue equipment.
