1. 1 M E M O R A N D U M TO: PRESIDENT AND ALL COUNCIL MEMBERS FROM: ASHLEY ROBINSON, ASSISTANT CITY CLERK DATE: AUGUST 20, 2024 SUBJECT: BRIEFING ON PENALTIES FOR SEX WORK IN THE CITY OF PITTSBURGH Please be advised that Councilwoman Barbara Warwick has requested a briefing with City Council Members on the penalties for sex work in the City of Pittsburgh. Briefing sessions are as follows: TUESDAY, AUGUST 27, 2024 Large Conference Room 1:30 PM- 2:30 PM 2:30 PM-3:30 PM Maggie Oates and Theresa Nightingale from the Pittsburgh Coalition for Safer Sex Work will be in attendance. Sunshine Laws prohibit a Council quorum at either session; however, Members’ staff may attend in their place. To manage each session and to prevent a quorum, please confirm attendance with the City Clerk’s Office by emailing cityclerksoffice@pittsburghpa.gov. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
