- 1 NOTICE is hereby given that the Zoning Hearing Board will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. for the purpose of hearing the following appeals. The meeting will be held both in person City Hall Council Chambers, 435 Hamilton Street, Allentown, PA and online. The meeting information will be available at https://allentownpa.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx You may submit any questions, support, or state an objection ahead of the meeting by emailing public.comment@allentownpa.gov. Please include your name and address when submitting any comments. All comments and questions received by 4 pm on September 30, 2024 will be reviewed by the board.
- 2 ALL APPELLANTS MUST APPEAR AT MEETING
- 3 1. A-2024-00573 401 N 8th St. Appeal of 401 N 8th St LLC to convert vacant restaurant into RETAIL FLOWER SHOP and reface existing 3.33’ x 4.83’ (16.08sf) int-illum PROJECTING SIGN, with use & sign being permitted by Special Exception under 660-51C(4), not meeting required time limits of 660-51C(4)(a)[2] with nonconforming use abandoned, located in the Medium High Density (RMH), Traditional Neighborhood Development Overlay (TNDO) District.

A-2024-00584 1934 Livingston St. Appeal from the enforcement notice issued June 18, 2024 against Buck & Shawn Mercer in which the Zoning Officer determined that the property is in violation of Articles 660-38A(1)(b), 660-58A, B&K, of the Zoning Ordinance for SOLID FENCE OVER 4.0 FT., SHED LOCATED WITHIN THE REQ. FRONT YARD, INSUFF SETBACK OF GAZEBO (5.0 ft req.; 3.42 ft prop). Should appellant prevail in enforcement appeal, appeal for variances for the above listed insufficiencies. Located in a Medium Density Residential (R-M) District.

The appeals listed above may be reviewed at the Zoning Office, 4th Floor, City Hall, 435 Hamilton Street, Allentown, Pennsylvania. This meeting will be video recorded and placed on the city website as public record.
