  4. 5 Stay tuned for the 2024 AEAC annual report for a more succinct conclusion to the year's activities. PA DEP Local Climate Action Program x City of Allentown Special Meeting will occur virtually on January 29th, 2025 for Penn State students to present to the AEAC the City-Wide Greenhouse Gas Inventory and the inventory for municipal operations. Potential update from the Sustainability Coordinator Passage of Bill 107 Amending the Environmental Advisory Council by allowing nonresidents who have a significant property or business interest in the City to serve on the Council at the discretion of City Council in order to encourage the broadest participation authorized under the Home Rule Charter. Passage of Bill 108 Amending Chapter 393 Neighborhood Improvement, Section § 393-9 Maintaining Property, by adding a requirement that dumpsters in the public-right-of-way be covered when not it use to prevent unauthorized use or scattering of contents. Passage of the 2025 City of Allentown Budget Inclusion of the Sustainability Coordinator position and funding for the procurement of an Allentown Climate Action Plan.
