  6. 6 R88 Authorization for Contract with Armour & Sons Electric, Inc. in the amount of $863,770.50 to secure a Contractor to expand its existing traffic signal system by adding three intersections, consisting of one new traffic signal and two modified traffic signals. The project also includes improvements at the individual intersections to enhance vehicle and pedestrian operations. Additionally, the City of Allentown is proposing to install a pedestrian actuated Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon at another intersection. Two (2) bids were received. The contract shall commence upon full execution and shall cease three (3) years thereafter. This contract can be extended for two (2) additional one (1) year terms beyond the contract expiration period at the same annual terms of the initial term. 15-8557
  7. 7 R89 Authorization for Contract with Traffic Planning and Design, Inc., in the amount of $299,943.00 to provide Construction Management, Inspection, and Documentation services for the City of Allentown’s School Zone Improvement Project and 10th & Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. Pedestrian Improvement Project. These projects include improvements at twenty-six (26) school zone locations and at the intersection of S 10th St & Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. funded through the Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside (TASA) Grant Program and the Carbon Reduction Program. Two (2) proposals were received. The Contract term shall commence upon full execution and shall cease three (3) years thereafter. Upon written agreement from the City, this contract may be extended for up to an additional two (2) one (1) year terms beyond the contract expiration period at the same annual terms of the initial term. 15-8558

  9. 9 R91 Authorization for Contract with Penn Mount Stone, LLC in the amount of $108,127.00 to complete the replacement and repair of the existing flagstone landing surrounding the General Trexler Monument. This also includes the four flagstone steps on the left side of the platform. Four (4) bids were received, one was rejected. The contract shall commence upon full execution and shall cease six (6) months thereafter.
