6. 7 Climate Action Plan Update Share your priorities for what the CAP addresses (www.allentownpa.gov/climateactionplan): Interactive map - Share your thoughts about your neighborhood – add comments about assets and needs throughout the City on the interactive map. Pilot project suggestions – Share your ideas about pilot projects - the City of Allentown will be testing strategies as part of its Climate Action Plan – these projects could be a physical structure of some kind, a public education campaign, or anything in between, and they will shape what will become longer-term initiatives. Prioritize strategies - Share your thoughts on priority items for Allentown's Climate Action Plan through a short poll. Our experience has shown that when communication pathways are intentional and roles are clearly defined, EACs can instead become trusted advisory partners that help municipalities successfully implement those initiatives. Using Allentown's first Climate Action Plan as a case study, participants will learn how clear communication channels, defined roles, and collaborative partnerships created new opportunities for public engagement, strengthened relationships with local government, and elevated the visibility and credibility of the EAC within the community.
