Discussion and possible action related to the application for funds administered through the Office of the Attorney General, on behalf of the Oklahoma Sheriff’s Office Funding Assistance Grant Program enacting House Bill 2914, creating the Oklahoma Sheriff’s Office Funding Assistance Grant Program Act of 2024. This funding will be directed toward the lawful operations of the sheriff’s office pursuant to 74 O.S. § 20k-1A. The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), acting as the lead applicant will partner with Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office and submit the application and any other documents needed to complete the application. The application must be submitted on-line no later than, September 6th, 2024, by 5:00 p.m. The application and any other documents needed for funds will be completed by Nikkiey Morton, Oklahoma County Grant Administrator and certified by the Chairperson of the BOCC if applicable.
