Consider approving an ordinance pertaining to Animals, amending Section 5-1-101, creating Section 5-1-105.1, amending Sections 5-1-106, 5-1-111, 5-1-118, 5-1-120, Article 5-1, Chapter 5, Lawton City Code 2015 and amending Section 5-5-501 and 5-5-508, Article 5-5, Chapter 5, Lawton City Code 2015 by defining service animal; establishing mandatory microchipping; clarifying that large reptiles may be unlawful; allowing for redemption periods to be extended; expanding on service animal allowances; correcting grammatical errors; renumbering as needed; providing for codification; providing for severability and establishing an effective date.
