Per the recommendation of the Processes Oversight Committee, consider creating Council Policy 6-1 establishing an “Open for Business” policy, requiring all administrative rules, policies, directives, and the like that pertain to the building code and that exceeds the authority granted by city code or council policy that were previously in effect to cease until they are incorporated into Council Policy or Code, creating rules on code interpretation, and creating a grading system for contractors and take action as deemed necessary, including any floor amendments.
