Consider approving an ordinance pertaining to cost-of-living increases amending Section 17-1-4-134, Division 17-1-4, Article 17-1, Chapter 17, Lawton City Code, 2015, by requiring a cost-of-living increase to be included in the City of Lawton annual budget for the Lawton City Council’s consideration, requiring council to affirmatively vote down a cost-of-living increase by a majority of its members each year, removing language pertaining to cost of living decreases, exempting this section from applying to employees who are represented by a collective bargaining unit; providing for severability, and establishing an effective date.
