Consider updating Council Policy 1-06 by adding a subparagraph (4) to paragraph 7 entitled “Committees.” The change will require committees/commissions seeking council approval for matters passed by them to bring those matters to the city council for consideration thereof no later than the second council meeting after said matter has been approved by the committee/commission. If the committee/commission cannot comply with this requirement, then the City Manager or his designee is required to provide an explanation to the city council and the mayor during the open session portion of the meeting.
