  1. 1 The regular scheduled meeting of the Cleveland County Employee Benefits Committee was called to order at 9:00 A.M. this 8th day of January 2026, at 201 South Jones, Suite 200, Norman, Oklahoma, by Chairman Rod Cleveland. Pam Howlett, County Clerk/Secretary, called roll and those present were:
  2. 2 Rod Cleveland, Chairman 1st Deputy Assessor Shannon Lane, represented Douglas Warr, Vice-Chairman, who was absent at roll call but entered shortly thereafter. Pam Howlett, Secretary Marilyn Williams, Member Tammy Richards, Member Raimie McDaniel, Member, was absent.
  3. 3 Notice of the meeting was properly posted on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
  4. 4 For purposes of this agenda “Action” means any of the following: amending, approving, approving as amended, deferring, denying, giving instructions to staff, making a recommendation to another public body, receiving documents or presentations, referring to committee, reconsidering, re-opening, returning, striking or postponing the item.
  5. 5 Approval of Minutes
  6. 1. Shannon Lane moved, seconded by Tammy Richards, to approve the minutes from the December 04, 2025, regular meeting. The ayes have it and the motion is carried...Body Approve 26-0016
  7. 7 Discussion and possible action on Items of Business
  8. 2. Due to the absence of George Mauldin, no reports were given concerning the Classen Family Medicine Clinic. 26-0018
  9. 9 No new business presented for discussion at this time.
  10. 10 During Committee member discussion, Chairman Rod Cleveland introduced Caitlin Hinman, Executive Vice-President Employee Benefits, HUB International Mid-America. He said that Caitlin had expressed interest in stopping by to meet with the Employee Benefits Committee and would like to share briefly the work Hub has done in the past with Blue Cross Blue Shield Ms. Hinman presented her analysis and approach that allows them to provide very significant benefits to employees while delivering meaningful savings to the plan. She would like to run some numbers again for the county in the future.
  11. 11 At 9:20 a.m., Chairman Rod Cleveland moved to adjourn the meeting. Shannon Lane seconded the motion. The ayes have it and the motion is carried.
