- 4 Inaugural Meeting of the Cultural Affairs Task Force The Cultural Affairs Task Force held its first meeting, which will continue on the second Thursday of each month at 3:30 PM. Kathleen Reckling, CEO of ArtsWestchester, expressed gratitude for the support and funding provided by the Board of Legislators. She highlighted ArtsWestchester's extensive programming and grant opportunities, noting the organizations goal to further expand its grant-making capacity to support more cultural initiatives in the region. Rose Luangisa, CEO of Luangisa Gallery, shared insights into her work with the Luangisa Gallery and the annual Wakanda Festival. She discussed funding challenges in delivering valuable cultural programs for Mount Vernon and the broader Westchester community. Rose is actively pursuing a dedicated space for The Museum, which will serve as a cultural hub for the community.
