Request-to-set a public hearing on Land Use Ordinance Amendments Relating to Recreation Points for Indoor Fitness Centers and the Clarification of the Definition of Structure for Setback Requirements PURPOSE: The purpose of this agenda item is for the Board of Aldermen to consider setting a public hearing on potential text amendments to the Land Use Ordinance to provide a recreation point calculation for indoor fitness centers and to clarify the definition of a structure with regard to setback requirements. A draft ordinance has been prepared for the Board’s consideration. A resolution setting a hearing date for October 22nd has also been prepared, and advisory board review has been requested prior to the public hearing.
