A Request to Adopt a Resolution to Award Service Sidearms to Retiring Police Officers PURPOSE: Police Lieutenant Rodney Taylor will retire from the Town of Carrboro Police Department on July 1, 2013 after approximately 28 1/3 years of service. Police Chief Carolyn Hutchison will retire from the Town of Carrboro Police Department on September 1, 2013 after 29 years of service. The Police Department would like to award Lieutenant Taylor and Chief Hutchison their service sidearms to recognize their dedication to duty and service to the Town of Carrboro. The Board of Aldermen is requested to adopt by resolution Town staff’s recommendation to award the service sidearms to Lieutenant Rodney Taylor and Chief Carolyn Hutchison.
