- 22. Order to approve the Memorandum of Agreement by and between, The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, MS Gulf Coast High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA), and the Pearl Police Department and to authorize Chief McLendon to sign all related documents.
- 23. Order to approve and authorize the police officers identified on the proposed part-time work schedule for September 2024, which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, the use of the official Pearl Police Department uniform and official Pearl Police Department duty weapon and finding that the proposed employment is not likely to bring disrepute to the City of Pearl, or the Pearl Police Department, the officers at issue, or law enforcement generally, and that the use of the official uniform and weapon in the discharge of the officer’s private security endeavor promotes the public interest of the City of Pearl.
- 24. Order to approve the Agreement with the MS Office of Highway Safety for the FY25 Police Traffic Service Grant in the amount of $90,000 and to authorize Mayor Windham to sign.
- 25. Order to approve the agreement with the MS Office of Highway Safety for the FY25 Police DUI Service Grant in the amount of $75,000 and to authorize Mayor Windham to sign.
- 26. Order to approve and adopt the City of Pearl Police Department General Orders Manual
- 27. Order to approve Change Order #2 from Hemphill Construction Company for a $234,043.00 credit on the construction contract for Grandview Heights Sewer Rehabilitation project (ARPA).
- 28. Order to authorize the advertisement for construction bids on the Highway 80 Lighting Project, which includes new street lighting on Highway 80 from Pearson Road to Pirate Cove.
- 29. Order to approve and authorize the installation of a new siren at 5100 Highway 80 E. by Goddard Enterprises, LLC in the amount of $41,396.88.
- 30. Order to approve 10 Apex 7000 XE radios and 5 Apex 4500 Base mobile radios declared surplus, and to be transferred to the City of Indianola for use in the City's fire department. See attached documentation for make and serial numbers.
- 31. Order to approve and declare one 2014 Dodge Avenger, unit number IT-97, as surplus and to be sold as is.
- 32. Order to approve a conditional use permit to allow Angelys Centeno to operate an Intellectual Development Disability Supervised Living Home at 801 Oakbrook Way, as recommended by the Community Development Director, Brad Robertson, and to meet all fire safety requirements as directed by Community Development for the health, safety and welfare of the occupants and the citizens of the City of Pearl.
- 33. Order to accept Richburg Subdivision.
- 34. Order to set public hearing on September 3, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. to determine whether or not dimensional variance should be granted to Dallas and Gwendolyn Sutton Sr to allow them to build a 1500 square foot house on their property at 124 Bryants Landing.
- 35. Order to set public hearing on September 3, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. to determine whether or not William Jason Moore and located at 420 C Street, Pearl, Rankin County, Mississippi 39208, is in such a condition or state as to be unsightly and un-kept or otherwise a menace to the public health and safety of the community, and therefore prohibited, pursuant to Chapter 24 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Pearl, Mississippi and Section 21-19-11 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, as Amended.
- 36. Order to set public hearing on September 3, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. to determine whether or not dimensional variance should be granted to Hinds Community College to allow them to build a 67 foot high building instead of the allowed 35 foot high on their property at 275 College Drive.
- 37. Order to set public hearing for September 3, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. to determine whether or not a Conditional Use Permit to allow Scott Swanner to operate a medical cannabis dispensary should be granted to the tenants at 102B Metroplex Boulevard.
