- 2 Sponsor: Mayor Quinton Lucas Authorizing Amendment No. 3 to First Amended and Restated Lease Agreement Kansas City Riverfront between the City of Kansas City, Missouri and Port KC for the purpose of furthering the development of a hotel.
- 3 Sponsor: Director of the Finance Department Authorizing the Director of Finance to accept a proposal of Banc of America Public Capital Corp. ("BAPCC") to finance the acquisition of twelve ambulances and equipment for the Fire Department (Project); estimating revenue and appropriating $5,003,940.00 in Fund No. 3230, the Equipment Lease Capital Acquisition Fund; authorizing the execution of any and all documents and agreements necessary for the financing; authorizing the Director of Finance to close project accounts upon completion; approving lease counsel; declaring the intent of the City to reimburse itself from the lease purchase proceeds for certain expenditures; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.
- 4 Sponsor: Director of Law Department Approving and authorizing settlement in the amount of $75,413.84 for a claim for a Workers’ Compensation benefit filed by Christopher Franzeskos for injuries resulting from an accident on February 16, 2020, while employed by the City.
- 5 Sponsor: Director of Law Department Approving and authorizing settlement of a lawsuit entitled Jolita Hatcher v. City of Kansas City, Missouri, Case No. 2316-CV30195, in the amount of $117,500.00.
- 6 Sponsor: Director of Law Department Approving and authorizing settlement in the amount of $ 225,000.00 for a claim for a Workers’ Compensation benefit filed by Michael Bishop for injuries resulting from an accident on March 16, 2017, while employed by the City.
- 7 Sponsor: Court Administrator COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE Authorizing the acceptance of a $395,000.00 grant from United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and Mental Health Collaboration Program to enhance the Kansas City Mental Health Court; directing the City Manager to identify a funding source for City’s matching funds; and recognizing an accelerated effective date.
- 8 Sponsor: Court Administrator COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE Authorizing the acceptance of a $656,925.00 grant from United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) Adult Treatment Court Program to implement a dedicated women’s recovery pathway in the Kansas City Municipal problem-solving courts; directing the City Manager to identify a funding source for City’s matching funds; and recognizing an accelerated effective date.
- 9 Sponsor: Councilmember Crispin Rea and Mayor Pro Tem Ryana Parks-Shaw Amending Chapter 50, Code of Ordinances, by enacting a new Section 50-177, “Domestic Assault”, for the purpose of instituting a specific municipal ordinance violation for domestic assault.
- 10 Sponsor: Councilmember Crispin Rea Amending Chapter 2, Code of Ordinances, Administration, by repealing and replacing Section 2-972 for the purpose of deeming certain employees not in violation of the City’s residency requirement in circumstances of domestic violence.
- 11 Sponsor(s): Councilmember Crispin Rea and Mayor Pro Tem Ryana Parks-Shaw RESOLUTION - Directing the City Manager to research and develop plans for policies to support victims of domestic violence and make recommendations to Council within 90 days.
- 12 Sponsor(s): Councilwoman Melissa Patterson Hazley and Mayor Quinton Lucas COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE Authorizing the City Manager to execute a project development agreement and related agreements necessary and consistent with this ordinance with Grayson Capital, LLC or an affiliated entity for the design and construction of a parking garage to serve the 18th and Vine district, Project No. 07VGARAG; authorizing expenditures related to Project No. 07VGARAG; authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and execute a lease for 117 parking stalls; and recognizing an accelerated effective date.
