7. 6 Clerk/Register Domonique D. Clemons announced that the election of the Chairperson to the Genesee County Board of Commissioners needed to be made and opened the floor for nominations. A roll call vote was taken and each Commissioner stated their preference.
8. VI. INVOCATION
9. 7 Commissioners Loyd, Winfrey, Ellenburg, Brown, Avery, Shumaker, Cousineau, Weighill, and Davis nominated James Avery. There being no further nominations, Clerk/Register Clemons declared nominations were closed.
10. VII. PLEDGE TO THE FLAG
11. 8 Clerk/Register Domonique D. Clemons announced that Commissioner James Avery has been elected to the position of Chairperson of the Genesee County Board of Commissioners.

14. 10 Chairperson Avery assumed the Chair.
15. 11 A. STANDING COMMITTEE CHAIRS AND VICE-CHAIRS
16. 1. Approval of the appointment of Pamela Coleman as Director of Genesee County's Community Action Resource Department approved Pass
17. 12 Chairperson Avery announced that the election of the Vice-Chairperson to the Genesee County Board of Commissioners needed to be made. A roll call vote was taken and each Commissioner stated their preference.
18. 2. Approval of the appointment of Brian MacMillan as Interim Corporation Counsel for Genesee County approved Pass
19. 13 Commissioners Loyd, Avery, Shumaker, and Weighill nominated Commissioner Weighill. Commissioners Winfrey, Ellenburg, Brown, Couisneau, and Davis nominated Commissioner Ellenburg.
20. X. NEW AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS
21. 14 Chairperson Avery announced that Commissioner Ellen Ellenburg has been elected to the position of Vice-Chairperson of the Genesee County Board of Commissioners.

25. 21 Chairperson Avery reappointed Commissioner Cousineau as Chairperson and Commissioner Brown as Vice-Chairperson to the Finance Committee.
26. 22 Chairperson Avery appointed Commissioner Loyd as Chairperson and Commissioner Ellen Ellenburg as Vice-Chairperson to the Governmental Operations Committee.
27. 23 Chairperson Avery reappointed Commissioner Winfrey as Chairperson and appointed Commissioner Shumaker as Vice-Chairperson of the Health & Human Services Committee.
28. 24 Chairperson Avery appointed Commissioner Brown as Chairperson and Commissioner Weighill as Vice-Chairperson to the Community & Economic Development Committee. Commissioner Weighill declined the appointment.
29. 25 Chairperson Avery announced that the appointment of the Vice-Chairperson to the Community & Economic Development Committee would be made at a later date.
30. 26 Chairperson Avery appointed Commissioner Ellenburg as Chairperson and Commissioner Davis as Vice-Chairperson of the Public Works Committee.
