- 6 Commissioner Weighill was elected as the Genesee County Board Chairperson for a one-year term.

- 9 Commissioners Loyd and Goetzinger voted for Commissioner Shumaker. Commissioners Winfrey, Brown, and Avery voted for Commissioner Brown.
- VIII. PLEDGE TO THE FLAG
- 10 Commissioner Shumaker stated that he would not like to be considered for Vice-Chairperson of the Board and removed his name from consideration.
- IX. PUBLIC HEARING - PROPOSED BROWNFIELD PLAN FOR THE CITY OF MONTROSE
- 11 Due to Commissioner Shumaker's request, a second round of voting took place.
- X. PUBLIC ADDRESS
- 12 Commissioners Loyd, Goetzinger, Brown, Shumaker, Weighill, and Flewelling voted for Commissioner Goetzinger. Commissioners Winfrey, Avery, and Cousineau voted for Commissioner Brown.
- XI. NEW AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS
- 13 Commissioner Goetzinger was elected as the Genesee County Board Vice-Chairperson for a one-year term.
- 1. Approval of a resolution recognizing January 19, 2026 as Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
- 2. Adoption of the 2026 Board Calendar and submissions of Board agenda items to be three (3) weeks prior to the desired committee meeting
- 3. Approval of an amendment to the America 250 Commission
- 16 Commissioner Cousineau and Commissioner Goetzinger were reappointed as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Finance Committee.
- 4. Approval of a Proposed Brownfield Plan for the City of Montrose
- 17 Commissioner Loyd was appointed as the Chair and Commissioner Shumaker was appointed the Vice-Chair of the Governmental Operations Committee.
- 5. Motion to enter into Closed Session.
- 18 Commissioner Flewelling and Commissioner Avery were reappointed as the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Public Works Committee.
- 6. Closed Session to discuss the Director of Administration and Corporation Counsel evaluations
- 19 Commissioner Winfrey and Commissioner Avery were reappointed as the Chair and Vice-Chair of the Human Services Committee.
