- 1. Statuf of Legislative Policy Division submitting report relative to Board of Police Commissioners’ Expense Reimbursements. (The Police Commissioners are not entitled to compensation for their service but may be reimbursed for their expenses. The City Charter, Article 7, Sec. 7-802., in part states (Exhibit II), “Unless required by state law, elected members shall not be entitled to salaries, retirement benefits, health benefits or other fringe benefits. Appointed members, and elected members not entitled to compensation by state law, may receive by ordinance reimbursement for parking, mileage and other reasonable expenses.” The City Charter was changed effective January 1, 2012.
