- 7 A RESOLUTION CONCERNING COMMISSION ON REPARATIONS for the purpose of highlighting the County Council’s encouragement and strong support for the creation of a commission on providing reparations to African American descendants of those previously enslaved in this State; appealing to the General Assembly to create the Maryland Representations Commission in remembrance of Harriet Tubman; and to have the General Assembly establish the Maryland Representations Commission during the 2024 legislative session.
- 8 A RESOLUTION CONCERNING THE HEALTHY FOOD IN PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES TASK FORCE for the purpose of creating a task force that will recommend to the County Council, sitting as the Board of Health, nutritional, food safety, and other standards suitable for the correctional facility meal program that support the health, well-being, and religious and cultural identities of detained individuals and incarcerated individuals, align with the GFPP (Center for Good Food Purchasing’s Good Food Purchasing Program) core values, meet or exceed the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, and consider the daily caloric and serving size needs of the populations served.
- 9 AN ACT CONCERNING PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY RE-ENTRY EMPLOYMENT INCENTIVE PROGRAM for the purpose of expanding the Re-Entry Employment Incentive Program to County government agencies; providing for regulations and qualifications to the Re-Entry Employment Incentive Program for County agencies; establishing the Re-Entry Employment Incentive Program Fund; requiring a minimum annual appropriation; ; providing an exception to the hiring preference requirement; requiring reporting requirements; and generally relating to re-entry hiring.
- 10 AN ACT CONCERNING 9-1-1 VOLUNTARY EMERGENCY REGISTRY for the purpose of establishing the 9-1-1 Registry Program to alert certain first responders of certain behaviors, diagnoses, or traits of individuals with special needs may present during certain encounters with first responders.
- 11 AN ACT CONCERNING MENTAL HEALTH AND FIREARM SAFETY LITERATURE for the purpose of requiring the Department of Health and Human Services to prepare and distribute certain literature to establishments that sell firearms or ammunition; adding certain display and distribution requirements for sellers of firearms or ammunition; authorizing enforcement by the Department of Health and Human Services; making a civil violation for noncompliance; and generally relating to public safety.
