DISTRICT 6 COUNTY COUNCIL VACANCY - INFORMATIONAL MEETING The District 6 County Council office is vacant, effective April 15, 2022, due to the resignation of the incumbent. Pursuant to County Code Section 2-104(j), “When there is a vacancy in the office of a Council Member that occurs during the last year of a term, a majority of the remaining members of the Council shall appoint a qualified person to fill the vacancy within thirty (30) calendar days.” QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Individuals must be a resident of Council District 6 and a registered voter in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Notice is also hereby given that the County Council of Prince George's County, Maryland, will hold the following informational meeting for the public to hear from those under consideration by the Council.
