The Anatomy of Confiscation of Property The Public Safety Committee will hold a Legislative Oversight hearing on The Anatomy of Confiscation of Property. This information session will address police department policies and citizen's rights with regards to the circumstances under which private property can be confiscated by officers, the procedures officers must follow when handling confiscated property resulting from an arrest, and the steps members of the public must take in order to retrieve seized property.
