  26. 25 Resolved: That it is the sense of the Malden City Council that the Body wishes to express their support of H.872/S.481, “An Act establishing a climate change superfund and promoting polluter responsibility;” to build polluter accountability and fund climate resilience. 360-24 passed Pass
  27. 26 Resolved: That it is the sense of the Malden City Council that it endorses the September 2024 Malden Climate Action Plan as the future roadmap for climate action in Malden. This builds on the environmental and sustainability investments that the Council, Mayor and city staff have sustained in the past. Recognizing the broad community outreach that went into development of the 2024 plan, the Council affirms its twin goals of climate mitigation to reduce greenhouse gases and climate resilience to prepare for worsening weather and climate impacts, with a clear foundation of climate equity and environmental justice. With this endorsement, the Council commits to engaging the recommendations of the plan and moving forward with its overall goals, in partnership with city leadership and community organizations. 361-24 passed Pass
