Resolve: That it is the sense of the City Council that the body support the Mayor’s Proclamation recognizing the second Monday of October as Indigenous People’s Day moving forward in the City of Malden. The City Council recognizes the position of Indigenous Peoples as native to these lands and that Malden is indigenous land and celebrates and honors the foundational contributions and sacrifices of indigenous peoples to the history of our City, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and our country.
