5. 3 Chair Peters referenced a letter provided to the members and indicated that she is proposing to send it, on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners, to the United States Senate and House Committees on Environment and Public Works; and that the letter outlines the importance of including language in the Water Resources Development Act of 2024 which directs the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to abide by the project agreements currently in place. She noted that the members have discussed the topic at length; and that some members have identified grammatical errors in the letter, which will be corrected; whereupon, the members provided consensus for Chair Peters to send the letter.
