- 6 Deviating from the agenda, Commissioner Starkey introduced Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Seven Secretary Justin Hall and briefly discussed the need to expedite improvements to the State Road 54/U.S. Route 41 interchange due to increasing regional traffic demands; whereupon, Mr. Hall reviewed two proposed design options for the interchange, discussed anticipated traffic increases associated with continued regional growth, and related that regional support would assist FDOT with securing funding for the project. Responding to a query by Commissioner Wostal, Mr. Hall indicated that FDOT will present a request for a letter of support at a future tri-county meeting.
