The Youth Advisory Board's involvement in the community and efforts to raise money. Director Couceyro began by praising the board's willingness to attend the 2024 Youth Council Summit. He asks about the trip's objective. Is it for board members' personal growth or the board's mission? If the board decides to fundraise independently, it's important to examine this as soon as possible. He believes that the board should take this into consideration and make a decision. Is this what they intend to do? He believes that is for the board to decide and then determine. Director Couceyro covered the expense and t-shirt in his remarks. The city clerk's office cautioned staff that providing t-shirts to one advisory board would require the city to provide a similar shirt to all forty advisory boards. His goal is to ensure the youth board understands the city's aspirations. Deputy Director Carolina noted the website for the 2024 Youth Council Summit program will take place at the Wayne G. Sanborn Activity Center in DeLand, FL on October 12, 2024, from 9:00-4:00. The cost for this event is $50.00 per person.
