- 6 a. General Updates AAC Supervisor Norma Gavarrete began the supervisor’s report by acknowledging her team throughout the time that she was absent during the AAC Senior Week. AAC Assistant Supervisor Greg Walters continued to share more information about new programs at the center. b. Special Events AAC Assistant Supervisor Gregory Walters proceeded to update the board on the forthcoming events for the month of September, AAC Western Roundup 2024 - Friday, September 20 at 2 p.m. and A Saturday at the Cinema, September, Paul Newman & Robert Redford's "The Sting" at 11a.m. c. Administrative Updates Director Couceyro proceeded to update the board on the forthcoming events for the month of September, Cycle Day - Tour of Parks - Sunday, September 15 at 9 a.m., Pollinator Palooza - Saturday, September 28 at 9:30 a.m. and Pumpkin Patch at Ponce Circle Park – Saturday, October 19 at 2 p.m. Director Couceyro continued to provide the board with an update on the millage rate and budget hearing that is scheduled to take place the following week. Additionally, Director Couceyro disclosed that the Rotary Centennial Park Community Meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 1 at 6 p.m. Director Couceyro briefed the board about the Golf and Parks superintendent position. He went on to state that they held interviews in the hopes of finding a qualified applicant to fill the role. Director Couceyro continued by informing about the Coral Gables Golf and Country Club Divisional Director position. He continued by saying that until a suitable candidate is found to fill that position, Deputy Director Carolina Vester will be covering at the Country Club.

- 8 a. Welcome new member The Senior Advisory Board and the staff extended their warmest welcome to Javier Figueras, who has recently joined the board. b. Praise AAC Senior Week It was brought to the attention of the board and staff by board member James "Jim" Berlin that it was important to recognize and appreciate the efforts of the AAC staff members during AAC Senior week. c. Board Survey Results Board members Judith “Jude” Alexander and James “Jim” Berlin revealed the results of the senior survey that was conducted in August 2024 with the board. They proceeded to discuss the results with the board members and the staff members.
