  1. 1 The Historic Preservation Board will be holding its Regular Meeting on December 19, 2024, commencing at 3:00 pm EST. Pursuant to Resolution No. 2021-118, the City of Coral Gables has returned to traditional in-person meetings. Accordingly, any individual wishing to provide sworn testimony shall be present physically in the Commission Chambers. However, the Historic Preservation Board has established the ability for the public to provide comments (non-sworn and without evidentiary value) virtually. Accordingly, only individuals who wish to provide public comment in this format, may appear and provide those comments via Zoom.   15. 1. Concluding the statement on Ex-Parte Communications, Chairperson Maxwell invited the Board Members and the public to view the mock-up of a window proposed for City Hall.

  38. 36 1. 2025 Meeting Dates - Meeting dates for 2025 were circulated to the Board. The meetings will be at the Police and Fire Headquarters on the second or third Thursday of the month. Board Member Rolando requested improvements to the audio visual and placement of screens in the new meeting room. Staff will continue to work with IT to make accommodations for the meetings. 2. Board Members discussed the Mediterranean Transitional style and directed Staff to study this and work on a more thorough definition of this style and period of architecture in Coral Gables. 3. Board Members requested Staff investigate the process for National Historic Landmark Designation for City Hall. Staff is working on this with the Landmarks Advisory Board and will provide updates to the Board. The LAB had also recommended including the Venetian Pool. 4. Staff mentioned that there have been early discussion with the Commissioners and the public to expand the TDR program. Staff requested that the Board members begin to consider what they would like include if this expansion were to occur and to send any comments to staff. Staff will bring back the item at a later meeting date.
