  14. 11 1. Merrick House Activity Report December 2024 - Ms. Kautz read the December 2024 House Report. The report was shared with the Board in advance of the meeting and is included as an attachment to the minutes. a. Bench by the telephone – one leg is loose and bends back. 2. Pond – Board Member Meagher spotted a fish trap in the Pond. She saw one fish in the mesh trap, released it, and removed the trap. 3. “Uncle Sully” – Board Member Meagher spoke about a visitor from Boston on Sunday that saw Arva Moore Parks book. She remembers her parents talking about “Uncle Sully” referring to Solomon Merrick. 4. Althea’s Garden Brigade – Next event is scheduled for February 1, 2025, at 8am. 5. 100 Voices – Margot Friedman will be the speaker at the next event. Ms. Friedman is requesting an edited version of the Museum’s PowerPoint presentation, video footage of Woolworth before closing, video of parades on Miracle Mile. Staff to advise on the purchase or borrowing of a projector. 6. Ticket Sales – Staff has requested ticket sales be reduced due to maximum capacity rules. Board Member Meagher advised that the Community Foundation will limit the ticket sales. 50 is the maximum capacity. 7. Garage – A request was made to start cleaning out the garage storage. 8. A Century in Bloom - Garden Club event, Staff to provide Board Member Seipp a list of immediate neighbors. This event is scheduled for Sunday, February 23, 2025, 1- 5pm.

  19. 14 1. Merrick Minute at City Commission – Board Member Meagher is waiting for final approval from the mayor. Board Member Burke to read in February and Board Member Orr to read in March. 2. Stag Painting – Staff is requesting more information on the conservation background of vendor, Ramiro Ramirez, that will be working on the painting. 3. Furniture – Staff will be providing the purchase order for the work on the entrance table - veneer coming unglued. 4. Family Passes – Board Members have requested the family passes be added to the onboarding process by Human Resources. Staff will advise. 5. Staff Tours – Board Member Burke has receive no responses from the Public Works Department on scheduling tours. Staff provided a new e-mail Ms. Burke should use. 6. English Brochures – Ms. Meagher is requesting more English pamphlets. Staff will look into a reprint but would like the board to do a complete review of the brochure 7. Defibrillator Training – Staff to coordinate a training location and gather all docents and Board Members. 8. Coral Market – This event will be moved to Saturday, March 15, 2025, due to Carnivale on the Mile. Three vendors have registered for this event.
