- 5 a. General Updates Manager Carlos Pichardo started his report by summarizing the good news that our Deputy Director Carolina Vester had been appointed to be Assistant City Manager. Her new accomplishment is one we are proud of, and it is a well-deserved position. He continues his briefing by discussing the current and upcoming programs. b. Special Events Manager Carlos Pichardo announced forthcoming activities for the month of April and May, including the Easter Egg Hunt - Saturday, April 19 at 10 a.m., Literacy Festival - Saturday, May 17 at 11 a.m. and Memorial Day Ceremony - Monday, May 26 at 9 a.m., all of which are scheduled to occur at the youth center. c. Administrative Updates Special Events Manager Susan quickly went over some of our upcoming events, which include the City of Coral Gables Farmers Market – Saturday, March 8,15, 22 & 29 at 8 a.m., Bike & BBQ 2025 – March 16 at 9:30 a.m. and Movies Under the Gables Moonlight – Friday, March 21 at 6 p.m. For more details, please see our playgables.com website.
