At the request of Deputy Mayor Hearn, Staff is requesting that the City Council consider the residential rental notice ordinance recently proposed by the City of Tampa, Florida increasing the notification period related to the termination of certain month-to-month residential tenancies to 30-days, and requiring residential landlords to provide 60-days written notice to tenants when rents will be increased by more than 5%, and provide direction on whether the City Council desires to consider adopting a similar ordinance.
