Accept the 2017 U.S. Department of Justice’s Body-Worn Camera (BWC) Policy and Implementation Grant with a mandatory 50% cash or in-kind match. Federal Funding will consist of $153,000 and the required City match funding will be $153,000. Acceptance of this grant will initiate and implement a body-worn camera program for the Visalia Police Department and incur additional on-going annual operating expenditures. Initiate a Measure N Plan amendment to fund the Body-Worn Camera program.
