Introduction of the Visalia Tourism Marketing District (VTMD) concept, presentation of the Management District Plan, notice that a public meeting will be held at the Council Meeting on November 6, 2017 and a Public Hearing on December 4, 2017 to receive public comment on the VTMD, and adoption of a Resolution of Intention to establish the Visalia Tourism Marketing District. If the VTMD is formed, it would result in a special assessment on local lodging businesses to fund sales and marketing programs designed to increase overnight visitation and room sales to assessed lodging businesses.
