Presentation of the Tourism Marketing District Plan, consideration of the Resolution of Intention to renew the Visalia Tourism District in accordance with the Property and Business Improvement District Low of 1994, based on the submission of ballots representing more than a majority of the property owners based on their assessment value. The Resolution will trigger public notice of a public meeting on July 18, 2022, and a Public Hearing and consideration of a Resolution of Formation on August 1, 2022 which could result in a special assessment on local lodging businesses to fund sales and marketing programs designed to increase overnight visitation and room sales to assessed lodging businesses.
