- 7 Authorize the Department of Health and Social Services to pursue an Intergovernmental Transfer with the California Department of Health Care Services for approximately $2,000,000 for the twelve month period from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023 in order to leverage additional federal Medicaid funds for the provision of healthcare services; Authorize payment of a State administrative fee equal to twenty percent of the transfer amount estimated at $400,000; and Delegate authority to the County Administrator to execute the necessary agreements with the State of California and Partnership HealthPlan of California

- 8 Acknowledge the District Attorney’s selection of Cedric Smith as “Employee of the Month” for August 2024
- 9 Adopt a resolution accepting a grant award from the California Highway Patrol, Cannabis Tax Fund Grant Program in the amount of $145,199 to create an educational campaign directed toward high school students, for the period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025; Authorize the District Attorney, with County Counsel concurrence, to sign and submit all grant documents, including, but not limited to applications, agreements, amendments, and payment requests, which may be necessary for the completion of the grant scope within the current award amount; and Approve an Appropriation Transfer Request increasing State Grant Revenue offset by grant related expenditures in the amount of $145,199 (4/5 vote required)
