  21. 17 County Counsel, Tom Bunton, stated in the case of Alena Navarro, et al. v. County of San Bernardino, et al., the Board of Supervisors voted 5-0 to ratify County Counsel’s decision to file a cross-complaint against the Plaintiff’s and the Estate of Gabriel Navarro in this case involving an automobile accident. Chief Executive Officer, Luther Snoke, provided an update regarding the February and March 2023 Storm After Action Report. The final version of the report is expected to be available and posted to the San Bernardino County preparedness website on Friday, January 12, 2024.

  24. 19 Fifth District Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. provided an update regarding the following boards he sits on: San Bernardino County Transit Authority and Southern California Association of Governments. He also stated February 3, 2024 is Kite Day with the Supervisor at Ayala Park in Bloomington. Chair and Third District Supervisor Dawn Rowe provided an update regarding the following board she sits on: San Bernardino International Airport Authority. She addressed Item No. 14 on the agenda approving a contract with the non-profit Rebuilding Together Mountain Communities to assist with home repairs for low-income families. Chair Rowe announced that the County has begun a disaster preparedness campaign to provide resources to residents. Information can be found at prepare.sbcounty.gov. She also thanked Sheriff Shannon Dicus for hosting a public safety meeting at the Yucaipa Performing Arts Center on January 16, 2024 at 5:30 PM.
