  21. 17 Chief Executive Officer, Luther Snoke, thanked Matthew Erickson for acting as CEO last week. He also thanked the first responders and Trevor Leja for their efforts and leadership relating to the fires.

  24. 19 Fourth District Supervisor Curt Hagman thanked public safety for their efforts in fighting the fires. He said he attended the following events: Bodycam Press Conference at Chino Hills Police Department, Grand Opening of Baldy View Dog Park, visit to the HUB at Ontario International Airport, tour of Port Hueneme as President of Southern California Associated Governments, Regional Homeless Meeting, and the opening of State Route 60 and Central Avenue Interchange. Supervisor Hagman said he will be attending ITS World Conference next week on behalf of Southern California Associated Governments and the County and hosting a free shredding event in Upland on September 28, 2024. He acknowledged that tomorrow is the anniversary of September 11, 2001. Fifth District Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. provided an update regarding the following boards he sits on: Omnitrans, Local Agency Formation Commission. He said he attended the following events: opening day for various County Preschools, Hispanic Employees Alliance, San Bernardino Juvenile Dependency Court Groundbreaking, and San Bernardino Valley College Basic Law Enforcement Academy Graduation. Supervisor Baca, Jr. said he will be hosting A Cup of Joe on September 19, 2024. He thanked those working in the Line Fire. Supervisor Baca, Jr. highlighted the following items on the agenda: 52, 54, 57, 58, 66, and 67. Second District Supervisor Jesse Armendarez said his heart and prayers go out to those affected by the wildfires. He thanked the City of Fontana and the Red Cross for their assistance at the Jessie Turner Evacuation Center. Supervisor Armendarez said he attended the following events: National Read a Book Day, California State Association of Counties meeting, and a tour of Cedar House. He reminded everyone that tomorrow is the 23rd anniversary of September 11, 2001. Chair and Third District Supervisor Dawn Rowe thanked all of the first responders. She encouraged those who are ordered to evacuate do so quickly and advised them that the evacuation shelters will take animals as well.
