  21. 17 County Counsel, Tom Bunton, stated in Closed Session, the Board of Supervisors voted 4-0, with Chair Rowe absent, to file a lawsuit against UHC of California, Inc. and United Health Care Insurance Company, Inc. to recover money owed to the County for treatment provided by Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. The Board of Supervisors voted 4-0, with Chair Rowe absent, to remove Commissioner Greg Fresonke from the County’s Regional Parks Fish and Game Commission. Chief Executive Officer, Luther Snoke, thanked the County's Executive Assistants. He also encouraged those considering County employment to apply.

  24. 19 Fourth District Supervisor Curt Hagman provided updates on the following upcoming events: Inland Empire Health Plan’s Vibrant Health Forum, Chino Valley Fire District’s State of the Fire District, Ontario-Montclair School District Board of Trustees’ Student Recognition Ceremony, Chino Hills Halloween event, BAPS Diwali Celebration, and the Annual Veteran Claim and Resource event. Fifth District Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. attended a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for a community garden at Ayala Park. He provided updates on the following upcoming events: Trunk or Treat at Ayala Park, Senior Resource Fair at Ayala Park, and Veterans Resource Fair at the San Bernardino County Government Center. Supervisor Baca, Jr. highlighted the following items on the agenda: 3, 42, and 50. Second District Supervisor Jesse Armendarez provided updates on the following events he attended: partnership with Fontana K9 Pals, Inland Empire Blue Belles Blue Ribbon Breakfast Ceremony, Banyan Elementary’s Safe Route to School Walk, a tour of Mount Baldy, ten ribbon cutting events, and the Cedar House Heroes Gala. He stated that World Mental Health Day was October 10. Vice Chairman and First District Supervisor thanked the resolution recipients for attending the meeting.
