Speakers may address the Board for up to three (3) minutes total on the consent calendar, up to three (3) minutes on each discussion item, and up to three (3) minutes total on Public Comment, not to exceed a total of twelve (12) minutes for the meeting, unless it is determined that a different limit is appropriate. - 19 Fourth District Supervisor Curt Hagman provided updates regarding the Ontario International Airport. He stated Veteran’s Day is on Monday, November 11, 2024 and he thanked all those who served. Supervisor Hagman said his office hosted a Veteran’s event last Saturday. Fifth District Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. provided an update on the following events he attended: Sheriff Regional K9 Facility Groundbreaking and the Inland Empire Girls Empowerment Camp. He thanked Public Works for their efforts on the Cactus Avenue street lighting project. Supervisor Baca, Jr. said his office is hosting a flu vaccination and Veteran’s event on Thursday, November 7, 2024. He highlighted the following items on the agenda: 5, 27, and 38. Supervisor Baca, Jr. thanked all armed forces. Second District Supervisor Jesse Armendarez thanked veterans. He thanked Congresswoman Judy Chu for securing 850,000 dollars for Upland Head Start Preschool Program. He provided an update on the following events he attended: Sheriff Regional K9 Facility Groundbreaking, Mount Baldy resident meet and greet, various city Halloween events, Children and Family Services Independent City Event, Diwali Festival, he donated to K9 Pals, Rancho Cucamonga Vintner’s Gala, and served cakes to seniors. Vice Chairman Col. Paul Cook (Ret.) spoke of his travels to Ireland. Chair and Third District Supervisor thanked veterans for their service and Registrar of Voters for their work on the election. She highlighted Item No. 33 on the agenda.
