24. 19 Vice Chair and Fifth District Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. highlighted the following items on the agenda: 33, 38, 39, and 48. He provided an update regarding the following board he sits on: San Bernardino International Airport Authority. Vice Chair Baca, Jr. spoke about the Government Day event he hosted on February 25, 2025. He thanked the Department of Public Works for installing equestrian signs in Muscoy, establishing a no parking zone on Portola, and installing basketball lights at Kessler Park. Vice Chair Baca, Jr. thanked Caltrans for repairing fences in the Del Rosa area. He invited everyone to the Kessler Field Ribbon Cutting on March 14, 2025. Vice Chair Baca, Jr. recognized the following women from his district as Sheroes: Toni Callicott, Patty Ruiz, Stephanie Vargas, Nuria Valencia, and Danielle Townshend. Second District Supervisor Jesse Armendarez said they hosted the first Community Resource Fair in the City of Fontana. He provided an update regarding the following board he sits on: National Association of Counties. Supervisor Armendarez highlighted the following events he attended: Cypress Avenue Storm Drain Groundbreaking and Upland Manor Comedy Night. He stated he will be hosting communiTEA on March 27, 2025. Fourth District Supervisor Curt Hagman thanked his wife for being in attendance. He provided an update regarding the following boards he sits on: Inland Empire Health Plan and Southern California Association of Governments. Supervisor Hagman said they spoke at following: Upland Chamber of Commerce and Greater Ontario Business Council. He partnered with Cardenas Foundation for a college scholarship program. Supervisor Hagman recognized Imari Sashimi & Sushi for being named a Fourth District Distinguished Business. He highlighted the following upcoming events: Shredding Event in the City of Chino Hills on March 29, 2025, Ontario State of the City on March 19, 2025, Salute to Public Safety on March 20, 2025, Chino Healthy Family Day on March 15, 2025, Waterwise Expo on March 15, 2025, and Chino Basin Water Conservation District Open House on March 20, 2025. Chair and Third District Supervisor Dawn Rowe thanked the Department of Aging and Adult Services and the Department of Veterans Affairs for collaborating to bring services to veterans in Barstow and the surrounding areas on the third Thursday of every month.
