24. 19 Vice Chair and Fifth District Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. highlighted the following event he attended: Animal Care Center Groundbreaking in Bloomington. He recognized teacher appreciation week and thanked the Preschool Services Department. Vice Chair Baca, Jr. thanked healthcare and public service workers. He thanked Assemblymember James Ramos for his work on Assembly Bill 385. Vice Chair Baca, Jr. highlighted the following items on the agenda: 26, 30, 31, and 46. Second District Supervisor Jesse Armendarez highlighted the following events he attended: Seat Heat, Fontana Days Parade, County Fire Truck Show, Inland Empire Regional Chambers Spring Series Business Mixer, Coffee with the Rancho Police Department, and distribution of cakes to seniors in Upland. He thanked his staff, Human Resources, Workforce Development, Children and Families Services, Assessor-Recorder- County Clerk, and Arrowhead Credit Union for their partnership to assist foster youth who have aged out of the system. First District Supervisor Col. Paul Cook (Ret.) addressed the concerns in the Middle East. Fourth District Supervisor Curt Hagman stated on May 7, 2025, a real ID is required to fly. He said he partnered with Make a Wish and San Manual Nation to send a 15-year-old and his family to Hawaii. Supervisor Hagman thanked nurses in honor of National Nurses Week. He highlighted the following events he attended: Animal Resource Center meeting, Anthesis Brewabilities Beer and Wine Festival, Taste of Chino Valley, Chino Valley Fire Open House. Supervisor Hagman recognized Los Serranos Country Club for receiving the Fourth District Distinguished Business Award. He said May is Military Appreciation Month and thanked those who served. Supervisor Hagman highlighted the following item on the agenda: 16. Chair and Third District Supervisor Dawn Rowe recognized nurses in honor of National Nurses Week. She stated that all County employees and their families have free entrance to the Big Bear Zoon during the month of May.
