Meetings are held in the Board Chambers located on the first floor of the Monterey County Government Center, 168 W. Alisal St., Salinas, CA 93901. As a courtesy to others, please turn off all cell phones and pagers prior to entering the Board Chambers. ALTERNATE AGENDA FORMATS: If requested, the agenda shall be made available in appropriate alternative formats to persons with a disability, as required by Section 202 of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 USC Sec. 12132), and the federal rules and regulations adopted in implementation thereof. Authorize and approve the Director of the Emergency Management or designee to submit a grant application to the 2026 State Fire Capacity Grant Program for a total amount not to exceed $200,000 with a 24-month performance period of October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2028, to fund the development of a Community Wildfire Protection Plan, as well as potential hazardous fuels reduction and maintenance projects on non-federal lands and wildfire prevention and mitigation education and outreach efforts; and b. Find that the one-time Monterey Spartan Super 10K and Sprint 5K Weekend and The Monterey Spartan Trail Race 10K, 21K & 50K Events scheduled for May 29-31, 2026, at Monterey County’s Toro Regional Park, is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), pursuant to Section 15304(e) of the CEQA Guidelines; and c.
