- 3 At least 72 hours prior to each regular Board/Commission meeting, a complete agenda packet is available for review on the City's website at www.cityofmerced.org or at the City Clerk's Office, 678 W. 18th Street, Merced, CA 95340. All public records relation to an open session item that are distributed to a majority of the Commission will be available for public inspection at the City Clerk's Office during regular business hours.

- 5 Members of the audience who wish to address the Board/Commission are requested to complete a speaker card available at the podium against the back of the Council Chamber. Please submit the completed card to the Board/Commission Clerk before the item is called, preferably before the meeting begins. Material may be emailed to (insert Board/Commission contact email) and should be limited to 300 words or less. Please specify which portion of the agenda you are commenting on, for example, Report item # or Public Comment. Your comments will be presented to the Board/Commission at the appropriate time. Any correspondence received after 1 PM will be distributed to the Board/Commission and retained for the official record. You may provide telephonic comments via voicemail by calling (insert voicemail # set up for your Board/Commission) by no later than 1 PM on the day of the meeting to be added to the public comment. Voicemails will be limited to a time limit of one (1) minute. Please specify which portion of the agenda you are commenting on, for example, Report item #, Consent item #, or Public Comment. SUBJECT: High Speed Rail Updates REPORT IN BRIEF Parks & Community Services Director Christopher Jensen will provide ongoing updates as available on High Speed Rail as it relates to the acquisition of the Merced Senior Community Center and the McCombs Youth Center. - F.5. SUBJECT: Applegate Park Kiddieland Renovations Updates REPORT IN BRIEF The Kiwanis Club of Greater Merced has been contracted to renovate Kiddieland at Applegate Park. The scope of work includes a new train route, new train, an expanded fence line and new walking path from Rossotti Ed Zoo Cation Center to the black top and teal top courts. RECOMMENDATION Information only-no action required
- F.6. SUBJECT: Parks and Recreation Department Updates REPORT IN BRIEF Director Jensen will provide department updates on the budget, services, events, and Capital Improvement Projects (CIP’s) to the Commission. RECOMMENDATION Information only-no action required
- G. BUSINESS
- G.1. SUBJECT: Consideration of 2024-2025 Youth Center Lease & Service Agreements for Use of the Central Youth Center (27th & K Street), McCombs Youth Center & McNamara Youth Center by Youth Service Providers. REPORT IN BRIEF Staff is seeking the recommendation of the Recreation & Parks Commission for the extension of current contracted Youth Service Providers for one additional year (FY24/25). Each center is currently in operation by contracted Youth Service Providers and each have expressed an interest in extending their use of the facility for fiscal year 24/25. RECOMMENDATION Recreation and Parks Commission - Adopt a motion: A. Recommending approval of extending the lease agreement with the Boys and Girls Club of Merced County & revising the City allocation of $35,000 to $25,000, for use of McCombs Youth Center and, B. Recommending approval of extending the lease agreement with the Restorative Justice League for use of the Central Youth Center and, C. Recommending approval of extending the lease agreement with the Challenged Family Resource Center for use of the Central Youth Center and, D. Recommending approval of extending the service agreement with the Lifeline CDC for use of McNamara Youth Center
- G.2. SUBJECT: Request to Add Item to Future Agenda REPORT IN BRIEF Provides members of the Boards/Commissions to request that an item be placed on a future Boards/Commissions agenda for initial consideration by the Boards/Commissions.
