- 3 At least 72 hours prior to each regular Arts and Culture Advisory Commission meeting, a complete agenda packet is available for review on the City's website at www.cityofmerced.org or at the City Clerk's Office, 678 W. 18th Street, Merced, CA 95340. All public records relation to an open session item that are distributed to a majority of the Commission will be available for public inspection at the City Clerk's Office during regular business hours. Assisted hearing devices are available for meetings held in the Council Chamber.
- 4 PUBLIC COMMENT: OBTAIN SPEAKER CARD FROM THE ARTS AND CULTURE ADVISORY COMMISSION CLERK
- 5 Members of the audience who wish to address the Arts and Culture Advisory Commission are requested to complete a speaker card available at the podium against the back of the Council Chamber. Please submit the completed card to the Arts and Culture Advisory Commission Clerk before the item is called, preferably before the meeting begins. Material may be emailed to cityclerk@cityofmerced.org no later than 1 PM on the day of the meeting. Please specify which portion of the agenda you are commenting on, for example, Report item # or Public Comment. Your comments will be presented to the Arts and Culture Advisory Commission at the appropriate time. Any correspondence received after 1 PM will be distributed to the Arts and Culture Advisory Commission and retained for the official record.

- 10 Members of the public who wish to speak on any matter not listed on the agenda may speak during this portion of the meeting and will be allotted 3 minutes. State law prohibits the Board/Commission from acting at this meeting on any matter raised during the public comment period. Members of the public who wish to speak on a matter that is listed on the agenda will be called upon to speak during discussion of that item.

- 12 Adoption of the Consent Calendar may be made by one motion of the Board/Commission, provided that any Member, individual, or organization may request removal of an item from the Consent Calendar for separate consideration. - E.1 SUBJECT: Arts and Culture Advisory Commission Minutes of May 23, 2024 REPORT IN BRIEF Arts and Culture Advisory Commission Minutes from the meeting of May 23, 2024. RECOMMENDATION Arts and Culture Advisory Commission - Adopt a motion approving and filing the Arts and Culture Advisory Commission minutes of May 23, 2024.
- E.2. SUBJECT: Approving a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Local Photography Submissions. Approving a Fall Photography Exhibition at the Applegate Park Merced Open Air Theater (MOAT), and Approval to Form a Subcommittee REPORT IN BRIEF Considers approving an RFP call for local photography and a fall art exhibition at the Applegate Park MOAT as well as approval to form a subcommittee to review and rank submissions. RECOMMENDATION Arts and Culture Advisory Commission - Adopt a motion: A. Approving an RFP for original works of photography by local artists featuring local landscapes within the city of Merced; and, B. Approving a fall art exhibition at the Applegate Park Merced Open Air Theater (MOAT) C. Appointing a subcommittee to review and rank photographer submissions.
- E.3 SUBJECT: Commission to Review and Approval of Utility Box Designs and Locations REPORT IN BRIEF Reviews and approves designs for utility boxes located at the following intersections: 26th and G Streets, 23rd and M Streets, Bear Creek and G Streets, and Bear Creek and M Streets. RECOMMENDATION Arts and Culture Commission - Adopt a motion approving the four designs at the following four locations: · 26th and G Streets - Landscape with Telephone Poles Design · 23rd and M Streets - Butterflies and Flowers Design (Note: This utility box is near the courthouse and county administration building. It is recommended that the design exclude any wording or lettering.) · Bear Creek and G Streets - Raccoon Design · Bear Creek and M Streets - Fish Design
