Any person who has questions concerning any agenda item may call the Engineering Department at 209-385-6860. Prior to each regular Traffic Committee meeting, a complete agenda packet is available for review in the Civic Center, 2nd floor Engineering Department, 678 West 18th Street, Merced, CA 95340 and on the City’s website at www.cityofmerced.gov. Any documents provided to a majority of the committee members after this agenda is posted will be available for public inspection in the City Clerk's office during normal business hours.
- 4 PUBLIC COMMENT: OBTAIN SPEAKER CARD FROM THE TRAFFIC COMMITTEE CLERK
- 5 Members of the audience who wish to address the Traffic Committee are requested to complete a speaker card available at the podium against the back of the Council Chamber. Please submit the completed card to the Traffic Committee Clerk before the item is called, preferably before the meeting begins. Material may be emailed to contactengineering@cityofmerced.gov no later than 10 AM on the day of the meeting. Please specify which portion of the agenda you are commenting on, for example, Report item # or Public Comment. Your comments will be presented to the Traffic Committee at the appropriate time. Any correspondence received after 10 AM will be distributed to the Traffic Committee and retained for the official record.

- 9 Members of the public who wish to speak on any matter not listed on the agenda may speak during this portion of the meeting and will be allotted 3 minutes. State law prohibits the Traffic Committee from acting at this meeting on any matter raised during the public comment period. Members of the public who wish to speak on a matter that is listed on the agenda will be called upon to speak during discussion of that item.

- 11 Adoption of the Consent Calendar may be made by one motion of the Board/Commission, provided that any Member, individual, or organization may request removal of an item from the Consent Calendar for separate consideration. - E.1 SUBJECT: Committee Member Reports REPORT IN BRIEF Committee members to provide informational reports.

- F.1 SUBJECT: REQUEST #25-26 Requesting A Four-Way Stop at the Intersection of G Street and 12th Street. REPORT IN BRIEF Citizen shares concerns of the difficulty of trying to make a left turn from 12th Street onto G Street due to speeding cars and obstructed views from parked cars. Currently there is only one stop for east and west 12th street. Citizen is requesting stop signs be added on north and south G Street to create a four-way stop at that intersection.
- F.2 SUBJECT: REQUEST #25-27 Requesting A Yield or Stop Signs at the Intersections of H Street and I Street on West 23rd Street REPORT IN BRIEF Citizen states they have witnessed multiple collisions at the intersections of H Street and I Street on West 23rd Street. Citizens believes due to the lack of yield or stop signs at these intersections, motorists drive at a high rate of speed, and they feel West 23rd Street has a higher rate of traffic due to the Amtrak Station. Citizen has concern for the safety of neighborhood children and an increase in traffic due to the Starbucks being developed on the corner of 23rd Street and G. Citizen is requesting either a yield signs of stop signs be installed going north and south on H Street and I Street.
