  3. 3 Copies of the backup material relating to each item of business referred to on the agenda are on file in the office of the City Clerk. Any person who has questions concerning any agenda item may call the Engineering Department at 209-385-6860. Prior to each regular Traffic Committee meeting, a complete agenda packet is available for review in the Civic Center, 2nd floor Engineering Department, 678 West 18th Street, Merced, CA 95340 and on the City's website at www.cityofmerced.gov. Any documents provided to a majority of the committee members after this agenda is posted will be available for public inspection in the City Clerk's office during normal business hours.
  4. 4 PUBLIC COMMENT: OBTAIN SPEAKER CARD FROM THE TRAFFIC COMMITTEE CLERK
  5. 5 Members of the audience who wish to address the Traffic Committee are requested to complete a speaker card available at the podium against the back of the Council Chamber. Please submit the completed card to the Traffic Committee Clerk before the item is called, preferably before the meeting begins. Material may be emailed to contactengineering@cityofmerced.gov no later than 10 AM on the day of the meeting. Please specify which portion of the agenda you are commenting on, for example, Report item # or Public Comment. Your comments will be presented to the Traffic Committee at the appropriate time. Any correspondence received after 10 AM will be distributed to the Traffic Committee and retained for the official record.

  9. 9 Members of the public who wish to speak on any matter not listed on the agenda may speak during this portion of the meeting and will be allotted 3 minutes. State law prohibits the Traffic Committee from acting at this meeting on any matter raised during the public comment period . Members of the public who wish to speak on a matter that is listed on the agenda will be called upon to speak during discussion of that item.

  11. 11 Adoption of the Consent Calendar may be made by one motion of the Traffic Committee, provided that any Member, individual, or organization may request removal of an item from the Consent Calendar for separate consideration. If a request for removal of an item from the Consent Calendar has been received, the item will be discussed and voted on separately.

  16. F.1 SUBJECT: REQUEST #26-01 Requesting Red Curbing on Both Sides of the end of Rancho Camino Drive at Granada Ct. REPORT IN BRIEF Public Works submitted this request regarding the city sewer lift station at the end of Rancho Camino Drive being blocked by parked vehicles. Residents in the area, including large tow trucks, are parking in front of the gate, which blocks access to the facility. Public Works is requesting to have the curbs both sides of the street painted red in front of the city sewer lift station. 26-019 approved Pass

F.2 SUBJECT: REQUEST #26-02 Requesting Four-Way Stop Signs at 20th St and S St. REPORT IN BRIEF Citizen states that there have been multiple accidents at this intersection and witnessed one the day of this submission. Citizen shares concerns about blocked views of the intersection during drop off and pickups at Fremont Elementary School. Currently, this intersection has stop signs going east and west on S Street. Citizen is requesting to install stop signs on 20th Street to make this intersection a four-way stop to keep children safe. 26-020 denied Pass
  18. F.3 SUBJECT: REQUEST #26-03 Requesting A Four-Way Stop at the Intersection of 12th St and Canal St. REPORT IN BRIEF Citizen states that there have been multiple accidents at this intersection. This intersection currently has stop signs on 12th Street going the east and west directions. Citizen is requesting stop signs be installed on Canal St. on the north and south side of the intersections to create a four-way stop. 26-053 approved Pass
